These days, Pit Bulls often make headlines; usually getting a bad rap.
While Pit Bulls do genetically possess a “hold and shake” bite style, advocates and experts say they are not inherently aggressive. Their disposition is largely a matter of breeding. Experts say that dogs of many breeds can be selectively bred or trained to develop aggressive traits.
This is a shared view by President Obama who does not support breed- specific legislation.
The ASPCA says ” a well -socialized and well-trained pit bull is one of the most delightful, intelligent, and gentle dogs imaginable.”
